Ingredients for GARLIC BUTTER BAKED BRIE
Quality of brie cheese matters! I always recommend using a brie cheese that is French- brie cheese originated in France so if it is French you know it’s creamy, has notes of mushroom and will melt really well! When melted the cheaper brie cheeses can often pool with oil which means they aren’t the best quality and stuffed with fillers & additives. When making baked brie, spend a little bit more on the cheese to make sure it’s a quality one.
Brie cheese
Fresh garlic
Butter
Fresh thyme or rosemary
Crackers
My favorite pans are USA pan - great quality and they never change color or warp on me. At such a great price point you can’t go wrong!
For the honey drizzle, add this on after baking! THIS IS KEY! If you bake honey it actually looses any of it nutritious properties and becomes all watery and leaky which will make the baked brie look and taste not so pleasant. Always add on honey AFTER the cheese bakes.
You can add on hot honey or regular honey depending on how much spice or sweetness you like.

Always buy a good quality brie cheese! Brie originates in France so try to get one that says “made in France” or “made with French practices” on the label. It will be better quality and melt perfectly in the oven. I have found that the cheaper brie cheeses are not authentic and pool oil when baked. A quality French brie will be your go to this holiday season!
My favorite brands include:
Ile de France Brie Cheese
President Brie Cheese
alouette Brie Cheese
Marin French Brie Cheese
Sweet Grass Dairy Brie Cheese
Supreme Brie Cheese
This is what your brie cheese will look like before going into the oven
This is what you brie cheese will look like out of the oven. Keep the rind ON the cheese to hold everything together while baking and preventing the oozy cheese inside from burning
For this recipe I used one of my favorite brie cheeses- I love alouette double creme brie! It is a French style brie cheese that is creamy, earthy and melts beautifully in the oven. It is a quality brie cheese to use for baking!

Garlic Butter Baked Brie
Going into the holiday season, there is nothing more delicious to serve up that baked brie cheese. It is quite simply the best melted cheese in the world and best paired with garlic butter! A simple appetizer to make and when baked, it becomes oozy and really has that wow factor at a dinner party.
Ingredients
- 8 oz brie cheese wheel
- 2-3 tbsp melted butter
- 2-3 cloves minced garlic
- drizzle of hot honey
- 1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary or thyme (garnish)
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 400 F and grab a baking safe dish or brie dish
- Put your brie cheese wheel in the middle of the baking dish and score the top of it with cross hatch marks (this will allow the brie cheese to breathe and cook evenly in the oven)
- To make your garlic butter mixture: in a small bowl combine 2 tbsp of melted butter with 2-3 minced garlic cloves and stir well
- Add garlic butter mixture on top of your brie cheese wheel
- Then put in the oven and bake for 10-14 minutes or until the brie cheese is soft to touch and looking melty
- Out of the oven garnish with some chopped up rosemary or thyme (optional) and drizzle with hot honey or regular honey
- Serve with crackers or a baguette and enjoy this cheesy appetizer!
Make sure you are using a good quality brie cheese! My favorite is anything French- look on the label at the grocery store and buy the one that is a few dollars more, it’s always worth it!

Blue cheese stuffed into sweet dates and baked in the oven until melty and caramelized are the perfect bite! Serve these up with a drizzle of honey and crushed walnuts and you have yourself the perfect bite sized appetizer for any get together.
