This is one of those appetizers that you can throw together easily in a few minutes and will little to clean but a pan. You don’t always have to bake your brie cheese in a ceramic dish, did you know you can roast it right up on a baking sheet? Technically this is a one pan appetizer, making for easy clean up! When you roast grapes they blister and burst in the oven & figs become soft and juicy. The juices that come out of them are sweet and jammy with that hint of balsamic glaze they are perfection! The flavors pair beautifully with brie cheese and this can eaten with crackers or a crispy warm baguette 🍇🧀
Ingredients for Roasted GRAPE & Fig Baked Brie
What I love about this recipe is that is it quick and easy to make. It is also a great way to use up grapes or figs that are on the verge of spoiling or getting wrinkly. Roast them up and they are as good as new! This is a warm and cozy appetizer that is perfect to serve up for fall and going into the holiday months or even Thanksgiving.
Here are all the ingredients that you’ll need for this recipe:
Brie cheese
Red grapes
Figs
Olive oil
Balsamic glaze
Honey
Salt & pepper
Fresh thyme or rosemary
The salt and balsamic glaze might not seem necessary, but they are for this recipe! Red grapes and figs are naturally sweet, but the salt and balsamic compliments the fruits and breaks down the sweetness and jamminess which is what you want after roasting them!
Quality of brie cheese matters! I always recommend using a brie cheese that is French- brie cheese originated in France so if it is French you know it’s creamy, has notes of mushroom and will melt really well! When melted, the cheaper brie cheeses can often pool with oil which means they aren’t the best quality and stuffed with fillers & additives. When making baked brie, spend a little bit more on the cheese to make sure it’s a quality one. Some of my personal favorite brie cheese brands are: Ile De France, President Cheese and Alouette Cheese
My favorite pans to use are by USA pan - great quality and they never change color or warp on me. At such a great price point you can’t go wrong!

This is what your grapes & figs should look like before going into the oven to roast. Make sure they are coated in that olive oil and balsamic mixture. I just toss them around in the pan to ensure they are evenly coated!

This is what your pan should look like when it goes into the oven for the second round to cook the brie cheese.
I like to add on chopped rosemary or thyme for a garnish and it pairs beautifully with this dish! Add on some honey as a garnish after this bakes for some added sweetness.
