This is a different take on you typical baked brie where we are mixing in spices and herbs that you already have on hand to make this cheese baked with all those herby flavors. Serve this any time of the year & get ready to wow your guests!

Ingredients for easy baked brie cheese dip

You really only need a handful of ingredients to make this simple cheesy appetizer! You all know that one of my favorite cheeses to use in any recipe is brie cheese (I might even call myself the QUEEN of baked brie- because it really went viral after all my baked brie recipes). You can find so many on my website that are easy appetizers to make including my Brie Cheese Crinkle Tart or French Onion Baked Brie.

Brie cheese is a creamy soft French cheese known for its bloomy white rind (that is edible by the way). This is one of those recipes that bakes best when the rind of the cheese is removed with a cheese slicing like this one.

Ingredients you need to make this easy baked brie dip recipe:

  • Brie cheese

  • Sour cream

  • Shredded mozzarella

  • Hot honey

  • Garlic clove

  • Smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper

My favorite baking dishes to use for baked brie or this brie cheese dip are either from Staub or Twine great quality and they are easy to clean. At such a great price point you can’t go wrong! I have both of these baked brie dishes and use them all year round for baked cheese dips and recipes. They are so versatile to have on hand and also make great gifts!

Ingredients:

Brie cheese- this is an earthy, creamy and melty cheese. It is DELICIOUS and decadent when baked in the oven and makes anything extra fancy when served for breakfast. I love adding brie cheese slices to this breakfast bake. If you are not a huge brie cheese fan, you can always substitute for havarti cheese or a white/old cheddar.

Sour Cream- Sour cream is the base of ANY good cheese dip. It is tangy and tart and pairs beautifully with a rich creamy cheese like brie by balancing it out.

Mozzarella cheese- this cheese is what gives you that CHEESE PULL in this cheesy dip. If you are serving this at a holiday gathering and want that wow factor then add shredded mozzarella cheese on top of this easy cheese dip. You can always substitute for gruyere or a white cheddar instead.

Hot Honey- a sweet heat that is the perfection addition to this easy cheese appetizer. This is my favorite hot honey to add to dips, pizza, appetizers and other baked brie recipes. I always have it on hand in the pantry. It is optional and you can always make the dip without it.

What to serve this dip with:

  • Cheez-It Snap’d Chips (they are crispy, cheesy and thin chips that are ADDICTINGLY GOOD!)

  • Pita chips

  • Crackers

  • A warm baguette

Always buy a good quality brie cheese! Brie originates in France so try to get one that says “made in France” or “made with French practices” on the label. It will be better quality and melt perfectly in the oven. I have found that the cheaper brie cheeses are not authentic and pool oil when baked. A quality French brie will be your go to for any get together especially Easter when friends and family are gathering together to soak up time together and good eats.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  1. Heat your oven to 375 F and lightly grease a small baking dish. I use a baked brie dish like this one.
  2. Take the rind off a Brie cheese wheel using a knife or cheese slicer and cut into small cube chunks
  3. Then add all your ingredients to a bowl (just leave a bit of the mozzarella cheese to top the baking dish with before it goes into the oven) and mix the dip well until everything is combined.
  4. Transfer the dip to the baking dish and top with the remainder of the mozzarella cheese
